BIO

I completed a PhD in Women Studies in June 2015 from Massey University (New Zealand). My research addresses gender discrimination in the Royal Thai Police by identifying opportunities and barriers for promotion against female police officers. The research highlighted the significance of gendered cultural norms in Thailand, especially in the male-dominated workplaces.

I also hold a Master in Politics and Public Policy from Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia) and a Bachelor in Political Science from Canterbury University (New Zealand). My research centres on Southeast Asia politics particularly Thai politics, gender politics and policies and human rights. My current research then interests include human rights, gender equality, violence against women, transnational crimes and Southeast Asia politics
